Dear Linda,
Please don't think I didn't care back in August. I've just seen your message. Thank you for reading my book and for your kind words.
I am sorry for your suffering. Please let me know what happened about Remicade. I know i've still got a lot of advocacy work to do in Oz.....the tiers of medication you have to go through to get a biologic do not make any sense.
I hope you have your life back and that you still have hope.
Take care,
Karen

Dear Nicole,
I read your comment late last night and it made me cry. I felt I had touched your heart, helped you and achieved what I had set out to do by opening up my life to the public. I hope that your family will have a better undersatinding of your pain and that you will feel their love and support. Thank you for buying and reading my book. That all takes time and energy when you are are sick. Please continue to pass the word if it's at all possible through Amazon reviews and facebook because I think together we can all make a difference. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are ever in need, in pain or just having a bad day.
Your friend Karen

if you know some one with rheumatoid arthritis or is someone with rheumatoid arthritis you must read this book! And if you or someone you know is struggling with many of the other chronic diseases you too will find yourself inside this book. It's inspirational, a book I will read again and again!! I bought several copies so that I can pass them around the friends and family, who have a hard time understanding my illness of r.a. Thank you Karen, through your words I finally believe that my family will have a better understanding of this chronic and painful disease we suffer from. I want to thank you again for changing my world for the better, giving me strength, and having something to share with my family. Best memoir I have read since 'Eat, Pray, Love!' P.s. thanks for adding another place I must visit before I die - Australia (your love of your country makes me want to visit there)

hi Karen, I heard you talk on Life Matters with Richard and put a hold on your book straight away at the library. I couldn't put it down. I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia. A big part of my Lupus is pain and arthritis and inflammation, my RA factor is always negative thankfully as my nan had it and mum has Lupus too. I have been battling for over 10 years and brought up 2 children 11 and 17 which is incredibly hard with a chronic illness, my husband has been my fulltime carer for 2 years now. Up until then I was still as active and busy as I could be. I then had to give up a lot of things I loved ie ceramics and just simple things like driving and sitting in a cinema. I was totally shocked to read of Remicade!! It has been here in Aust for 7 years and my gp and Specialist have NEVER mentioned it to me. It may give me my life back. Imuran and Methotrexate haven't worked as I couldn't tolerate them, but this drug might. I want to thank you for an inspiring book and giving me hope, I am seeing my doc to ask him about Remicade. I am astounded to read of what you went through and how you turned your life around. Thank you for all the hope and inspiration you have given me, hugs from Linda xx

Hello Karen,

My name Paula and I have R/A and allot of other Auto Immune Disease such as Polymyositis, Scleroderma, cardomyopathy,
lung disease, anemia. I have tried many auto immune meds nothing seems to work for me except prednisone which I've been
since 2003 which I need to come off that. I've tried Orencia,Cellcept,Plaqueni ,IVIG, Rituxan,Cytoxan,Sulfaslazine,Methotrexate,
Anakinra most of these med's I had a really bad allergic reaction. I'm to the point where I'm thinking nothing out there for me
it's very discouraging and painful and sad. I'm trying my best not to be depress but I know there's a Wonderful and awesome God
out there and he's not going to let me suffer for so long. However I need something because it's hard as hell in the mornings
to get up. They gave me Morphine for the pain however that does nothing for the stiffness....

I consider my myself very strong and a happy person but there are some days I just want to close my eyes and say good
bye to the world then I think about my two lovely young men and my family. That seems to help me get threw the rough times
but my quality of life SUCKS!!!! I want to be that active person I was I'm tired of just going home sleeping because im in pain.

Karen I'm going to read your book I just order it hopefully that will help me out? but I would love too hear from you
you can respond to me at this email address paulabrowne910@hotmail.com.

Be Blessed,
Paula D.
